Presentation Guidelines

All presenters (on-line and in-person) will be able to present their communications using BlackBoard Collaborate (BBC). You can access a brief tutorial on the use of BBC here

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ONLINE PARTICIPANTS

1. Use the Google Chrome browser, as it is the most compatible with BBC.
2. Check that your browser is fully up-to-date.
3. Check your Audio and Video Setup to make sure your microphone is set up properly.
4. Check the browser’s microphone and webcam settings to make sure the correct input is selected, and that BBC has not been blocked.
5. To have a better experience, use your headset microphone.

If you are using animations in your presentation, you must present your communication by sharing your desktop or a software application. When you share your desktop or application, everybody in the live session and anybody viewing the recording later can see your presentation. Make sure you close any windows you don't want others to see before starting to share

If you are not using animations in your presentation, we recommend that you save the presentation as a pdf, and present your communication by sharing your pdf file, although you can share your desktop if you prefer.

Desktop/Application/File sharing is not currently supported on mobile devices or ipads. You can follow the presentations but cannot share your own.
